"Excuse Me... Its Just My Climate Shifting"
New evidence that ocean surface temperatures varied as much as 6 degrees Celsius (about 11 degrees Fahrenheit) during the Aptian Epoch of the Cretaceous Period 120 million years ago.The finding is relevant to the ongoing climate change discussion, IUB geologist Simon Brassell says, because it portrays an ancient Earth whose temperatures shifted erratically due to changes in carbon cycling and did so without human input.
Oddly enough, this story didn't make the headlines anywhere. This one did though.
Looks like dinosaurs should have switched to alternative sources for their energy comsumption needs. Well maybe they did. They turned into birds didn't they?
well, if there's natural changes of temperature that doesn't mean we have nothing to do with the current global warming
btw I didn't here about the information in your second link maybe it's just media exageration

I agree that we may have something to do with the rise in global temperature, its just the unsubstantiated claims being hyped by the media that bother me. Do the science, report on the findings... keep the politics out of it.
The article Earth may be at warmest point in 1 million years was front page on cnn.com last week. Just another piece of hype and sensationalism that helps makes us numb to such future claims.
BTW:
I see you are a biology student. I am sure I will be posting on biology in the future, I hope you will correct any of the glaring errors I will most likely make
